GRAND CENTRAL — Mayor Adams flooded the subway with every single officer of the New York Police Department to arrest the earthquake Friday morning. The shaking earth jumped several turnstiles before escaping officers by dissipating its energy. The deployment cost the city $10 million in taxpayer dollars, with an additional $300 million in overtime pay.

“We’ll have to make massive budget cuts across the board,” said the mayor. “I hope you weren’t planning on going to the library tomorrow.”
